Overview
As a Bartender at El Gaucho, you play a vital role in delivering a world-class steakhouse experience through expertly crafted drinks and warm guest interaction. You’ll prepare cocktails, pour wines and beers, maintain a spotless bar, and create a welcoming environment for every guest.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Bar Setup & Maintenance: Prepare the bar before each shift, ensuring all stock, tools, and garnishes are ready. Keep the bar clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards throughout service.
- Drink Preparation: Prepare classic and signature El Gaucho cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes and measurements. Operate the draft beer system and handle kegs safely.
- Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, take drink orders efficiently, and make professional recommendations. Serve beverages with proper presentation, etiquette, and timing.
- Teamwork & Speed: Coordinate smoothly with servers and other bartenders, manage multiple orders under pressure, and assist during rush periods by restocking or supporting service.
- Inventory & Closing: Track stock levels, participate in daily inventory checks, and follow opening and closing procedures — including cleaning, refilling, and securing all liquor and tools.
Job Requirements
- Honest and responsible attitude.
- Previous bar or hospitality experience preferred (training provided).
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cocktail preparation is an advantage.
- Positive, professional attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Good English communication (additional languages are a plus).
